VX is a select group for high school vocal musicians which meets weekly (Wednesdays, 7-9 pm) in director Gary Fry's recording studio to develop skills advantageous to those seeking a career in music. Studio techniques, sight reading, familiarity with a variety of vocal styles, and professional demeanor are stressed.
VX has performed with Broadway star David Hyde Pierce and recorded backing vocals for a CD released by the United Nations featuring songs of peace sung by Ambassadors from several nations. And already in 2015, they have provided vocals for a song recorded for the Lions Clubs International Foundation charity, and background vocals for another United Nations project, "Strong UN, Better World," an original single by UNRocks-- the rock band made up of sitting Ambassadors to the United Nations!
