Commissioned by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. A setting of excerpts from Dylan Thomas's famous recollections of childhood Christmases. Familiar tunes included: "Good King Wenceslas," and an extended Celtic arrangement of "Hark! the Herald Angels Sing" that provides a big, exciting ending for the piece, making it suitable for a first half closer. Note that the arrangement of "Hark! the Herald Angels Sing" is also available as a stand-alone piece. |
